Description
At 1 metre tall, this glazed pot is outrageously large. The ‘falling’ blue glaze has been chosed because the pattern is highlighted by the special mix of blue that changes as it traverses the pattern on the planter. The overall effect is dramatic and will stand out in any garden setting.
The pot hails from south east Asia, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam to be specific, and was crafted by skilled potters who take 3-5 years to be able to handle making a pot this big. There are few of them left as the skills and tradition of pot making are ususally handed down from father to son and with the improvement of their society, more children are going to school rather than learning a trade.
How much longer these pots will be available is uncertain, so grab one while you still can.
